About NetSetGo

Woolworths NetSetGo is Australia’s official starter program for all children  from Grade 1 to Grade 3.   At BDNA  we specifically design our program to focus on fun and enjoyment. For a lot of children, this is the first time they will pick up a netball, it’s a learning experience and a lot of fun.  We endeavour to group children with school friends as much as possible to maximise their enjoyment of the sport.

Our 2023 NetSetGo program will run over terms 2 and 3 –  from Thursday 2nd May  – Thursday 5th September (public holidays and school holidays excluded).

New players of all genders are very welcome to join.

Net  – Skills, Drills

Set & GO  – Skills, Drills & Mini Matches

Please note  this program is  primarily aimed at Grade 1,2 & 3 year levels.  Our Grade 3 (GO) players also have the option of joining or Under 9/GO Competition on Thursdays at 5.00pm.

If your player is interested in joining our Under 9/GO competition instead of NetSetGo please contact netsetgo@baysidedistrictnetball.com.au – we can assist you in joining a team.

Our NetSetGo Leaders are recruited from within the Bayside Netball community so many of them actually participated in NetSetGo at Thomas Street themselves as juniors. We are proud of all our NetSetGo leaders and know they are outstanding young leaders of the future. We are delighted to be able to present this employment opportunity to our young players and watch the experience, fun and enthusiasm they bring to the next generation of netballers.

NetSetGO is divided into three tiers; Net, Set and Go to ensure that participants develop skills at a pace that’s right for their age and ability.

Participants will take part in skill-based activities, minor games and modified match play that will help them develop fundamental sport skills, as well as important social skills. Each session will be led by a trained coach, using modified equipment. We help the players build an understanding of the game and its rules, we develop their foundation netball skills in a team based environment.
